We stayed at Breakwater Cottage for a long weekend and had a lovely time. Perfect size, very child friendly and great location. We will be back I am sure!

“Lovely quiet cottage”
Reviewed September 3, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

I stayed at Breakwater Cottage for a long weekend with a group of friends. We found it comfortable, stylish, clean and extremely quiet. It is situated on one of the narrow streets five minutes' walk from the harbour and high street, with easy access to Whitstable's restaurants, bars and independent little shops. It was lovely to have some garden space too.

The owner was very helpful in recommending places to eat out and local amenities, and the key system was very straightforward. Parking / driving along on the unbelievably narrow street took some nerve but apart from that, a great base to explore Whitstable, Canterbury and the surrounding areas.

Liked best: Location – lovely quiet but central street

“Lovely cottage close to beach, shops, cafes and restaurants; wish we had been able to stay longer.”
Reviewed August 13, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Whitstable is a lovely seaside location with interesting, quirky shops. We stayed for a couple of days before our daughter's wedding, so restricted to time, but already considering a future booking so that we can explore the walks around the area.
The cottage is well equipped kitchen has everything you need including the things which are often forgotten:sharp knives, cafetier, bottle opener etc.
Photos give a very accurate picture of rooms.
Access was arranged very smoothly with owner.
Parking (as in any busy seaside town) is tricky, though there are public car parks nearby.

“Well located for harbour and shops.”
Reviewed August 8, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This is a lovely house in a wonderfully central location, for both shops and harbour. Although parking outside the house in this narrow street was a little tricky (we visited during the Oyster Festival), once parked we did not need to use the car all week. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The children loved the little garden, and we made good use of the outside table and benches for meals. I would recommend this property and would visit again.

“comfortable and convenient”
Reviewed June 25, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The cottage is ideally situated for the town, just a very short walk to all amenities. It is well equipped and comfortable. Whitstable has a great choice of places to eat but it is advisable to book in advance for a Saturday evening.

“Tasteful Holiday Home”
Reviewed June 17, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I booked this property for a weekend away with 5 friends. The house was very stylish and tastefully decorated, there was more than enough space for 6 of us to cook, have dinner and relax downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs were just as nice. We also enjoyed sitting out in the garden. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with everything you need, not just the absolute basics as is often the case. The house is perfectly situated to explore Whitstable, near to the highstreet and the harbour but in a very quiet street. It was very easy and pleasant dealing with Rafal, and meeting Kirsty at the house. The only criticism I have is that I had to pay for the whole stay at the point of booking, something which I have never had to do before for a holiday rental. All in all, I would certainly recommend Breakwater Cottage to friends who wanted to go to Whitstable!
