The accommodation was beautiful, very in- keeping with the pub, have stayed in some pubs were the pub is lovely but the accommodation is dirty and shabby this is definitely not the case with Waddington Arms and its decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The evening meal was amazing, never had cheese pie and spicy beans together but what a hit, my husband had a gammon, said it was hard to beat, and the breakfast was lovely too, the chef definitely knows how to cook and sometimes with a chain of pubs it can become boil in the bag, microwave ping!!!! but this is so not the case.
In a nutshell the Waddington Arms is worth every penny, and the village is also lovely and only 2 miles from Clitheroe which is a brisk 40 minute walk away. We will most definitely stay here again and loved it so much for my Dads 80th have booked my parents a surprise one night away, and I know they'll not be disappointed and they're hardened travellers.
Thank you again to all the staff at the Waddington Arms for making our stay so special

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful but room 2 was extremely spacious, 1 & 2 over look the beautiful village of Waddington

Staff - faultless
Room - excellent
Food - excellent
A warm welcome. Service very good. Room spotlessly clean. Breakfast ingredients top quality.
Lovely old pub in a lovely village setting ideally placed for exploring the area.

We stayed for 2 nights from 2nd - 4th January 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in Room 1 at the front of the pub which was very comfortable. We had a shared platter for lunch on arrival - a super mixed seafood selection. Dinner on both evenings was delicious with a wide choice from the menu and some excellent specials. My husband very much enjoyed the selection of real ales, especially Bowland Blonde and Hen Harrier. The weather unfortunately was very wet but the cosy log fires actually encouraged you to stay in with a good book and a pint! We will definitely return!

Excellent setting to explore a lovely part of the country, lovely village and an interesting old building. The room we had was clean, comfortable and spacious and the food varied and cooked by somebody who likes to cook and knows how to do it. The beers were samey, but well kept and it's always a good sign when they let you try before you buy.

The staff were absolutely fantastic; they couldn't do enough. They really seem to enjoy working there and with each other.

I like staying in pubs - but they can be hit-and-miss. This one is pushing all the right buttons. I've stayed in hotels that cost 3 or 4 times what we paid here, and they were posher, duller and nowhere near as friendly or enjoyable.

We'll certainly go back.
