Upon arrival we found a note asking for no bad reveiws on the internet because it could result in a lack of business and employees losing their jobs. Why does the management feel this is necessary? The banner outside advertises Luxury Rooms, didn't see one.

Then we found one of the reasons, the matresses that were worn out or very cheap. The springs became a big part of trying to sleep and that was difficult at best.

To me the worst things were the lack of a vacuuming of the carpet and the mold in the bathroom. The shower head was full of mold, there was mold in the grouting and on the ceiling. The exhaust fan did not work and this is not good for a toilet with no window.

The room really did not show any dedication to trying to please the guests, mismatched towels, dirty carpet, stained and cracked coffee cups non-working exhaust fan in the toilet. The cigarette burn on the toilet seat I found interesting, not good but interesting as to how it got there. The photo of the room I saw online was not anything like the room we had.

I will say this on a positive note, the room overlooked the main road and there was no road noise. The windows did an excellent job of keeping the room quiet. Also, lots of tea and coffee in the room along with some treats.

Stayed here on Saturday night for a nearby wedding.large banner on side of building advertising luxury accommodation, haven't a clue where these were.In our room tv never worked, toilet seat broken, bath panel pushed right in,dirty skirting boards, whole room just better than basic, although there were tea and coffee making facilities with snacks "mini cheddars and chewits".

We booked two nights over the Easter week-end and had a wonderful time staying there. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We went out to see a show in Blackburn on the Saturday night and when we got back to the hotel without having eaten, we asked if sandwiches were available. Not only did they make us some fresh ones (even though it was quite late), but these were made out of large slices of fresh country bread, fresh salad and freshly cooked chicken! We were really pleased we hadn't stopped at the local petrol station on the way back to grab those tasteless standard ones - which we had initially considered!

Our room was very comfortable and the restaurant's food was fantastic, with good choices for all sorts of tastes and appetites. We felt very welcome and will definitely come back again. Well deserved five stars from us!

We were attending a wedding near by and we are glad we stayed here, all the staff were friendly and accommodating even though we arrived a bit early. Breakfast was ok, room was nice and clean I liked the little snacks they gave you too.
