good clean hotel ideal for our requirement's , pub next door was very busy due to a local quiz final so staff were running about took a while to get served may be better on a quieter night food was ok
As ever, this Premier Inn is a good standard , clean and comfortable and is next door to a Hungry Horse, the Charnley Arms. There’s a very good cafe VJs across the road if you don’t fancy the packed pub restaurant which seems very popular at weekends. You are not far from Haigh Country Park which is well worth finding and a stones throw from the M6 if you are breaking your journey.
The great thing about Premier Inn is you know what you are going to get, Good bed, good space, clean rooms, decent bathroom and generally helpful and polite staff, especially at Wigan (M6 Junction 27) Hotel.
We enjoyed a one night stay here and had a warm and friendly welcome from Angela on Reception. Check In was very quick and during the whole time we were there Angela was extremely helpful.
Premier Inn does exactly what it says on the tin. It is clean and comfortable accommodation and you just cannot fault this one.
The bed was comfortable and everything needed for our stay was contained in the room.
During the evening the Receptionist was Will and he too was very warm and friendly.
Breakfast and meals are not available I;the hotel and you are directed to the Charnley Arms next door. Should you require Breakfast you order and pay for it in the Hotel.
TOP TIP - Do not bother having Breakfast in the Charnley Arms. It is an absolute nightmare and to see the full extent of the problem I would urge you to read my review of the Charnley Arms on Trip Advisor.
The premier Inn is the usual standard for all premier Inns all mover Britain with free parking and with a separate dining facility next to the premier inn but separate company. The amenities in the hotel were very clean and the shower had plenty of hot water and it had if you wanted liquid soap for the hand basin & liquid shower and hair soap. The hotel had deal for breakfast in the pub next door and this was good. All in all a good stay for the 2 nights stay. I was on the top floor with a view over the road at a new housing estate. To get to hotel car park had to go in road into pub car park and go round the pub car park to get to hotel car park which is separate.
