Went for a stroll to day and thought we would take a stroll up to the haven site and then come back into cleethorpes by walking on the sea front passing the meridian line.a bit cold but worth it

I think it's brass. I'm guessing it's in the correct place. Easy to get to. There's also a solid globe.

Not many people knew about the Greenwich Meridian Line even though there were many people walking in the area. A couple of benches are near the Meridian Line as well as a signpost with miles to North Pole, South Pole, Sydney, New York, etc. A granite globe has been placed there sponsored by local businesses with information board telling visitors about the attraction.

I know it's only a piece of metal stuck in the ground, but it's a significant piece of metal.
A very historical important piece of history.

I don't think anyone would make a trip specifically to see this, but it is part of a lovely walk from Cleethorpes to the Fitties. The estuary is on one side and the boating lake on the other.
The actual site had the metal line across the path, an interesting sign post and a small seating area.
