Plenty of walking both for human and dog. Very interesting WW2 defensive remains. Watch the tide though.

Visited today. It was absolutely beautiful, good variety of shops and ammenities. Children had a great time finding shells. Awesome morning out

I had not visited Filey since I was 3 (quite some time ago) and the thing I remembered was the beach. The tide comes right in to the sea wall at high tide but goes out miles when the tide is low. Fabulous for walking, dogs, kids, everyone - it is a total delight.

Came here on our first day staying at Primrose Valley Haven. Lovely beach, can be quite stony but still made sandcastles. Not a particularly well developed sea front.... perhaps one of the quieter ones on this coast but still lovely. Has plenty of refreshments, ice creams and amusements for the children. Nice prom to walk along if the tide is in. Quite a walk down to the sea front from the top road where the town is, quite a few steps or you can park closer down the hill.

Filey Beach must qualify as one of the best beaches in the UK, if not THE best! Ideal for a lovely long walk, with or without your dog, and stunning views from all angles. The Brigg is a must-do when the tide is out, hopping over the rock pools and negotiating the rocks. The wind can be bracing, but you feel re-energised afterwards.
