Must be amazing in August, for the racing festival. Not much to see in April, and sooo windy. We went out of curiosity, as we saw photos of the buildings on the web. Dry, flat and brown, so not much in the way of grass, but the guy who saw us from a great distance and rode his motorbike over to say "Ride horse?" said it does get green.
We did indeed get led around on horses for the standard rate of 80rmb for a half hour and 20 for the leader, and enjoyed it in that way you do when you are the only people there, and well aware of the oddness of it all. Flocks of sheep for us to look at and curious kids on motorbikes to look at us.
