Description: The Pheasant Hotel is a 16 bedroomed country hotel in the beautiful village of Harome in North Yorkshire. Overlooking the village pond the Pheasant's restaurant is open all year round to non-residents. In good weather, the Terrace overlooking the village pond is the perfect setting and the Conservatory, Bar and Lounge offer further non-weather dependent alternatives. Chef Patron Peter Neville is very much a hands-on chef who takes great pleasure in serving fresh, British food with an emphasis on locally foraged ingredients. With fields, river and woods only a quick hop over the garden wall there is no shortage of fresh finds and inspiration. Menus are heavily influenced by changing seasons and the best local produce available. The Pheasant is open to both residents and non-residents throughout the day, subject to planned closures owing to wedding party exclusive use.

Spent the night with friends to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Very pleasant evening, had rooms Harland and Hodge both lovely. Nice pre dinner drink in the cosy lounge, followed by a lovely meal.
All staff great but special thanks to Liam who looked after us well and made excellent cocktails. Our third stay, won't be our last.

The staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating, it was lovely to have pre lunch drinks by the fire and then move to the restaurant. The food was ok to my taste, but not exceptional, then it was a only a lunch, but it was the waiter that really made it for us all.

On a cold night The Pheasant was warm and welcoming with a blazing fire in the bar setting the stage for what became a memorable evening.
The menu was not extensive, but enough to suit most and the quality proved to be beyond question.
Food and drinks were served in a civilised way by professional friendly staff who never seemed to be intrusive or in a rush and the atmosphere was not spoiled by someone eases choice of over loud music. Music, unless one is in a nightclub should be wallpaper not disco
