“Snowdrops and Scenery - who could ask for more?”

We are 2 over-sixties couples, and arrived at the cottage in brilliant sunshine to realise that the enclosed front garden is a real suntrap all day, and very pretty with snowdrops and daffodils in bloom, and other flowers and bulbs just showing through. There is a bench and table set along with a huge barbeque on a patio in front of the dining room, and benches in front of the living room window.
The cottage itself was immaculate and very well equipped, with 2 double bedrooms, one with a four poster bed, and a room with 2 adult sized bunks.Unfortunately, it was our turn for second pick so we had the smaller double which like the bigger room had a very comfortable bed. There were lots of coathangers! and all the bedding was new. The bathroom was beautifully decorated and had a good shower over the bath. The only slight problem was the lack of a second lavatory, fine for a family but a bit awkward for people our age. The open plan living room and kitchen was spacious and airy with comfortable leather settees, plenty of shelves for books, games and DVDs, and a flat screen TV. The kitchen was compact but extremely well equipped with everything down to sharp knives, peelers and scourers, something that you dont always find. There was a large fridge-freezer and washing machine in a utility room. There were storage heaters everywhere and a multi fuel enclosed fire(easy to clean and light) so we were very warm when it got chilly in the evenings.Everywhere was beautifully clean.
We loved our stay here - beautiful views, lovely countryside, walking from thedoor, excellent food at the Bridge Inn, good craic at the Kings Head in Reeth, bus stops outside the door
loads of attractions nearby. Many of the guests in the visitors book had stayed umpteen times, which is what we would very much like to do.
