I visited Fawsley Hall at the end of March with friends for a long-overdue weekend of relaxation, fun and pure indulgence. I was not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful, with an abundance of history and lovely grounds. The Tudor Great Hall is particularly stunning and partaking of the delicious afternoon tea in that environment was a very special treat. Our rooms over the spa were spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, with huge bathrooms. One of the highlights was when we had the cinema to ourselves - what fun!
All of this was complemented by attentive, warm and accommodating staff - particularly Stevie and Mo who ensured that our stay was truly special.

Lovely country house hotel, grand & historic yet cosy & comfortable. It’s rurally located, approached by a long drive & surrounded by acres of Capability Brown designed parkland though still only a short drive from Daventry & Banbury, not to mention the charming surrounding villages that are within walking distance. There was a wedding on during our stay which added to the quite idyllic scene that Fawsley Halls grounds present. The hotel has a number of function suites & is classic bridal territory but we weren’t disturbed in any way by revellers, indeed our room was a haven of peace. We opted for a room in the spa block as these are spacious enough to accommodate a family. It was very generously proportioned, stylishly decked out & blessed with a comfy bed & quality linens. Fawsley Hall is well run with a polished, well trained but very friendly, easy going team. Everything worked, everybody knew what they were supposed to be doing, & every staff member went out of their way to assist. Breakfast is a well presented buffet spread supplemented by a wide selection of waiter served dishes. It's taken in the same restaurant as dinner, a series of intimate, beamed, cosy olde worlde rooms, some with fires crackling away, it’s just lovely. The restaurant has 2AA Rosettes & food was superb. The bar is also very nice but the piece de resistance is the stunning Tudor Great Hall where drinks/afternoon tea/lunches can be had.
We had a terrific stay & would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Fawsley Hall for a girly weekend, the rooms were roomy with everything you need for a weekend break. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional, nothing was to much trouble. The afternoon tea and the restaurant food was amazing. The Spa also ticked every box. I will certainly be returning to stay in this gorgeous hotel with fabulous countryside walks.
I wish to say a very big thank you to the General Manager and his staff for such a wonderful weekend.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Spa lodge, gorgeous spacious rooms with excellent facilities. All rooms in the hotel are amazing though.

Sadly we only got to stay for one night, but it was wonderful! A stunning property that has been lovingly restored, and is quite beautiful. The feature bedrooms are just lovely, and the public rooms - particularly the main hall - are a sight to behold. You really feel that you are "living the life" in medieval times! Staff were a little "Fawlty Towers" at times, but actually that added to the charm; because they were really rather attentive and courteous. Stevie seemed to do a lot of different roles, but he was charming and helpful. Food was excellent, and an interesting and varied wine list. It's not a cheap night away, but certainly worth every penny. We will certainly be back.

Room Tip: Go for one of the "feature rooms" (see the website) More expensive but well worth it!

This was our 6th visit to Fawsley Hall Hotel (over the last 10 years) but by far the best. We've kept returning, despite previous dreadful service, as the building and surrounding area are so lovely. However, this time the service was extremely attentive, quick, accurate and friendly. We've never been shy of complaining but this time the whole experience was outstanding. There's been a change of ownership (and presumably management) since our last visit and they've made huge improvements to the attitude of the staff towards customer service. It was an absolute pleasure to stay this time and we felt valued rather than an inconvenience, so thank you and keep it up!

Thank you so much for your review, following your 6th visit to Fawsley Hall.

Naturally I was delighted to read that this has been your best visit to date and will duly share your comments with the team, making particular reference to the attentive and friendly service they provided.

Unfortunately I don't know when you last stayed at the hotel, however your compliments mirror those of so many guests, who also recognise the improvements made since Hand Picked first took ownership of the property.

The team and I look forward to you returning again soon.
