Lived up to expectations again!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 1, 2024
We had a night at Fawsley Hall to celebrate our golden Wedding with friends. It was excellent - the hotel, the staff and the meal in the Cedars restaurant. If you haven't been, the tudor Great Hall is something else!
Views from the hotel are delightful - typical English countryside. The grounds are well-manicured but relaxing. Staff were professional but friendly and happy to show their personalities.
We didn't have time to use the Spa facilities.
Our friends had rooms on the top floor with views (but a steep climb up the stairs) whilst we had an accessible room on the ground floor. It was large and comfortable - and the ensuite didn't feel compromised by the accessible features (sometimes they can feel like hospital bathrooms!). Our only gripe was that there appeared to be underfloor pipes pumping heat into the ensuite: we could have used the aircon, but it seemed a shame.
Breakfast was superb.
Overall brilliant.

The best thing about Fawsley Hall are the staff, they are the most friendly and helpful people I have come across in a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, I was told numerous times that they were there to make our stay great. The food was superb, from breakfast (great selection) to Sunday lunch and meals in the bar. The Sunday lunch featured a jazz duo playing tunes whilst we ate, this was also an absolute delight. We both had a massage at the spa, which was also as good as everything else at the hotel. We also made use of the cinema, another surprise. Now I know what it's like to have a million pound home with it's own private cinema room. All in all I can't praise Fawsley Hall high enough, a definite 10 out of 10.

Room tip: Find the cinema and make use of it, especially if you have children, can be booked at reception

We’ve had a wonderful 3 night break at Fawsley Hall and what a fabulous place, we stayed in the Francis Walsingham suite it was sheer luxury. The grounds are beautifully maintained and all the lounge rooms are stunning, the spa is excellent with such a good choice of relaxing rooms, gym has everything you need for a workout. The staff are probably the best I’ve come across in hotels and we are used to staying at some of the worlds finest hotels, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel can’t do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I don’t think the photos and videos that I looked at before arrival do it any justice, in person this place is so much more better in person, we will definitely be returning to Fawsley Hall, it’s a very special place. Stacey & Danny. X

Room tip: Highly recommend Fawsley Hall

Just wanted to recommend Donna in the spa. Superb body massage today. Have had massages when you feel the therapist is just going through the motions - but she was vey good indeed. I really felt she wanted me to benefit and she was looking for areas that she could improve. Thoroughly recommended

My sister just surprised me with an overnight spa and dining stay at Fawsley, and our whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The grounds and surroundings of the hotel are so peaceful and beautiful that you feel relaxed from the instance you drive in there, and this only continues more when you’re inside! The staff too were all friendly, very helpful and attentive and lovely, Stephen on reception inparticular was so lovely and kind and just seems a total natural at his job, so please pass this on to him!

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, it was hot obviously on a hot summers day while we stayed there but we opened a window and used the fan provided. Our beds were also made into twin beds without us even having to ask and we were both very grateful for this!

The food we ate at dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful too, and our afternoon tea in the spa section was yummy. Also really enjoyed the massages we had and the spa facilities, Millie was my massage therapist and even two days later my body feels better and looser! So thankyou too Millie!

Overall what more could you want from a hotel/spa day! Hopefully we will return again in the future. Thankyou again to everyone at Fawsley!

We went for breakfast for my wife's birthday. The hotel grounds are kept immaculately and has a lovely peaceful feel to it. The service was excellent and breakfast was delicious. Our waiter, Feyzullah was excellent, caring and went the extra mile to provide an improptu tour of the main hall and gave us lots of historical facts about the place especially where Queen Elizabeth I stayed. Definitely will come again and recommend to all, couples and families!
