We had an amazing stay here, the hotel is stunning and the room was comfortable and well equipped. We stayed for two nights and had dinner on the first night which was lovely- generous portions. As it was a Thursday (special menu is Mon-Thurs) there was special 3 course meal for £27.95 which was really good value.
We went to the pool and spa which was great and not too busy when we were there. The next day we had an afternoon tea which was a range of sandwiches and cakes with a sausage roll slice and some scones accompanied by tea and a glass of Prosecco.
The breakfast is some buffet and some ordered- I had eggs Benedict day one and a Northern breakfast day two- both were gorgeous and there was a plentiful selection of cereal, fruit and pastries.
All the staff were incredible- very welcoming and friendly, would definitely recommend this hotel!

Stopped off here en route to Birmingham. Impressive entrance and quick check in. The room was extremely well appointed with a large bath and shower. Completely silent at night. Plenty of parking. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room and the food and service were outstanding. All the staff here work hard to help and are impressive. One I would definitely return to!

Stayed here last week with my daughter, as a birthday treat for her. Excellent stay, everything was first class. Had a relaxing back massage and used the Jacuzzi.
Food excellent, friendly helpful staff. Accommodation was clean and comfortable.
Will definitely return!
Tip : book direct with the hotel, don't book through booking.com as I did, I didn't read the small print and ended up paying more than I should have, especially wasn't happy with having to pay 15 pounds per person to use the Spa! :/
