The room was too hot and other than having a fan running all night, there was nothing that could be done to reduce the heat from an uncomfortable, especially for the time of year, 24 degrees Celsius. Added to which the duvet was a 10.5 tog!

Good value for money. Beds are very comfortable. Restaurant and bar are a bit tatty and our room 110 could do with a little touch up hear and there. Shower is in the bath which is not an issue but the base of the bath is quite high compared to the floor and would prove very awkward/dangerous for anyone with limited mobility.

A standard Premier Inn experience in the hotel, with a clean and comfy room. However, the housekeeping failed to change towels etc. as agreed on day 3 of our stay. The breakfast facility was OK, though one coffee machine was a bit silly at peak times. The cooked breakfast and cereal choices were more than adequate and very good value. Where I was disappointed was with the quality of the communal spaces and the furnishings of the Brewers Fayre restaurant/ bar. It was very tired, with tatty furniture and fixtures in a poor state of repair. The men’s toilets were pretty awful really. Cleanliness was only just adequate. That being said, the staff were uniformly helpful and friendly. I felt sorry for them having to make do and mend in a shabby environment. A definite could do better on behalf of management.

Room tip: No air conditioning in hot weather.

My dad was staying in this hotel for 2 nights whilst moving house. He has to stay here due to awaiting for housing that provides more for his needs as he has dementia and is extremely venerable. My dad contacted me at 9pm to say he had not eaten all day due to the carers unable to attend to a hotel and that he asked one of the staff members at reception if he could heat up some food. He was refused this as they stated he should just go eat at the restaurant next door. With my dad having dementia he doesn’t often go out on his own so this would have been a huge task for him. I was unable to support in person in the evening due to having a 2 year old in bed. I contacted the hotel a women called Susan who was really unhelpful with the situation and told me to get him to order from just eat but all places at closed on their due to the time.
