“Many good points”
Reviewed 16 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

The property is a good size, clean and comfortable with all the resources you would need. It was lovely and warm and the information supplied was good. Unfortunately it is in need of refurbishment. This however was the only downside.

“Cosy cottage close to some stunning countryside.”

Perfect for myself, husband and teenage daughter. We had to drive everywhere but there is lots to do closeby.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is full of character, and although the railway line is remarkably close, you do get used to the trains quite quickly. The kids had fun watching them thunder past. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, & there are plenty of spare towels & bedding if needed.
The location is excellent, we managed trips out round the Farne Islands, Holy Island, and Chillingham Park with its herd of wild cattle, and spent plenty of time on the beaches at Bamburgh & Seahouses.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was warm cosy and had everything we needed. Plenty of brochures and information for local attractions. The trains did not disturb us at all!

Liked best: It was conveniently located for the local attractions and peaceful despite proximity to the railway.
