“Warm welcome, enjoyable course.”

Magdalene Fields Golf Club
Reviewed July 2, 2016

We played here as a party of eight on a golf weekend and the course definitely provides value for money. Having played Goswick the previous day we found the greens to be a bit slower but running true. This is a fair and interesting course with some cracking views, but for any really wild shot the rough pretty much means a lost ball. The welcome in the clubhouse both before and after our round was very warm and friendly. If you are in the area this place is well worth a visit.

Went for a bite to eat with friends, so decided to try the golf club at Magdalene Fields. The place is very nice, clean and well kept and there is a small seating area outside for when the weather is good.
We had fish and chips and prawn salad which was all first class, very nicely cooked and not greasy. Salad with bread and butter included. We sat outside as the weather was good, the view was a bit boring, all you can see really is the golf course and sea. Prices were not too bad with the fish and chips for £7.95, think the salad was the same.
All in all, apart from the boring view would recommend.

We have eaten here as a family a few times.
It is basic but clean and comfortable and the food has always been very enjoyable and plentiful. Staff have always been friendly.
They have a good selection from fish, scampi, burgers and pasta.
They do theme nights such as fish and chips night, steak night or Chinese night. Unfortunately I can't remember which night is which.
Just keep in mind that this is a golf club and they have rules about not wearing caps in the club house. Bit of an antiquated rule but not a big deal unless your having a bad hair day.
