“Excellent accommodation which lived up to its glowing reviews”
Reviewed July 7, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at this cottage with my wife's elderly parents. It was one of the very best of the many we have rented in the past several decades, and Robert's hospitality (and the delicious scones and wood fire that greeted us) nudged it into top spot. The location was excellent with splendid views and easy access by road to the Northumberland coast and Scottish Borders. The cottage itself was beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

“Peace and tranquility - perfect!”
Reviewed March 30, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My husband and I, our 9 month old and my mum stayed at Westlongridge farm for the 5th time (first time in Honeysuckle) and love it even more each time we visit! Robert is the perfect host and has created the perfect balance between the highest quality, luxury standard of accommodation, while allowing guests to feel completely relaxed and at ease.

The log fire is a highlight as are the comfy beds, not something you often find with holiday rentals!

The cottage provides the perfect base for visiting some of the most beautiful parts of Northumberland, but two 'musts' are Holy Island and Bamburgh!

We have been 5 times and will continue to visit for many a year to come.

Would highly recommend a visit.

“A perfect place.”
Reviewed November 21, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

This will have been our 15th year in Honeysuckle cottage, It is a perfect place for us to chill out, some years we have taken our family, It's an ideal place for my disabled Mother, as the lovely downstairs bedroom is en suite, and the cottage is easy for her to get around, Our children and their partners also enjoy going to Roberts. Robert does lovely a lovely cream tea for when you arrive. The cottage is very, very comfortable and Robert a great host.

“Mr”
Reviewed October 12, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Would not normally write a review but on this occasion it is deserved. Upon arrival we were greeted to afternoon tea with home made cake and scones, they were fantastic. As for the accommodation, it was very cosy and clean with good facilities. I would highly recommend anyone to book, I am already looking to book again. Many thanks Robert

“Fantastic Stay in Honeysuckle Cottage!”
Reviewed April 8, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

I first stayed in Honeysuckle Cottage with my parents 14 years ago and had an amazing time. When looking for somewhere to stay in the borders area for my girlfriends birthday, I thought why not give West Longridge another visit.

It is safe to say I was not disappointed, on arrival you are greeted with a fantastic cream tea and Roberts amazing cake and with it being a chilly day a lovely fire was also waiting for us.

The changes made to Honeysuckle since I last stayed have really made it a fantastic place to stay and it feels really homely.

The kitchen is one of the best equipped we have ever had, with a good selection of pots and pans and even an electric whisk, very handy for whipping cream!

The lounge is very comfy and great to curl up in front of the open fire on a cold night!

The bedroom was great with plenty of storage space and one of the best beds we have slept in. The teddybear mattress protectors are fantastic (Thank Robert we now have them at home)

It is a great location just to get away from it all and relax and also a great base to explore the borders and even catch the train into Edinburgh.

Finally Robert is a fantastic host and makes you feel so very welcome and take great pride in his cottages, nothing is ever too much trouble.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay then look no further!

Thanks for everything Robert and I promise not to leave it 14 Years before I come back!

“Beautiful little cottage with great welcome”

We arrived at the cottage to hens clucking in the garden, home made cream scones and cakes on the kitchen table and fire lit. Robert made us feel incredibly welcome and had a fabulous sense of humour. The cottage was really well equipped and very comfortable and central to where we wanted to be. Great open aspect from garden too. Thank you Robert for a great stay. Anne, Janice, Dave and Ben
