Chose to stay here as I had fond memories of staff Christmas parties and meals with my family but had never stayed over we had asked if possible we could get a room with a bath which they had organized for us nice modern bathroom, the room itself is older in style which I don't mind and most importantly was very clean like the rest of the hotel had a wonderful meal at the night time with very attentive staff and they also had some wheat free bread which is always a bonus for me but i don't fuss about asking for normally in advance. Comfortable nights sleep and a lovely breakfast to set us up for the rest of the day.

My friends and I visited Tilmouth Park hotel for afternoon tea today. The high point was the service. Our waiter was very busy but managed to be attentive at the same time. The hotel is beautiful but sadly we had to eat our tea in a dark inner room. We asked if we could move into the dining room (which wasn’t being used) or plush adjoining room , but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. The food was fine, but the crockery was quite basic and it was tea bags, not leaves. I hate to be so picky, but this could have been a really memorable experience, but it didn’t quite hit the mark.

Beautiful location. Quiet and perfect for our stay. The food was superb. The team were attentive, delivering excellent service. Our accommodation was spacecious, clean and comfortable. If you like old properties with character but small enough to enjoy a quiet break then this is an ideal hotel.

Stayed here as a last minute find when traffic delayed our arrival to our later destination. We have three dogs and the grounds are perfect for walking in. The staff where professional and friendly, chatting to us at the bar in the evening. Another lovely touch was a breakfast sausage each for the dogs. Would recommend. Room was huge and very comfortable.
