The manager here deserves a pay rise and a promotion!

It’s a tired, dated, rundown Travelodge at a service station on the A1.

HOWEVER, I only stay about once a month yet to be “welcomed back” on arrival before I have given my name on check in means a great deal after a long journey and a long day.

The staff go to great lengths to make the best of what they can, Little thoughtful touches, like putting heaters on in the rooms before you arrive on a cold winters night. The rooms are spotlessly clean and for these reasons only I will continue to stay.

A friendly greeting from the front of house staff is always good after a long journey.
Large clean rooms but the A1 road noise can be quite annoying.

Take a couple of sleeping tabs and you'll be ok Im sure

Was clean and double bed very comfortable, but let down by the single 'put you up' beds which were hard and very uncomfortable with the springs felt. Had to cover them with towels to make them comfortable enough to sleep.

Thank you for submitting your review.

We're sorry to hear that you found our pull out beds to be uncomfortable. After extensive customer trials and research, these beds were selected as being the best fit for our family rooms and once again we would like to apologise this was not the case on this occasion.

Following our recent guests feedback, we are pleased to confirm that the beds within our family rooms have been reviewed, and we are currently in the process of upgrading these beds to ensure our guests are as comfortable as possible.

Thank you again and we hope to welcome you back and continue improving your views on Travelodge.

We booked in here as it was to be a place to come to at the end of the day so we didn't need anything fancy. Typical travelodge hotel, extremely clean room and lovely staff, quiet even though next to a busy motorway and the staff were fantastic. It is based next to the moto services so there are plenty of options to eat at, and some even provide a small discount if you are staying at this hotel! What more could you ask for.

Stopped here for an overnight stay when driving south to visit friends. The stay was pre-booked and very reasonably priced.
The room was basic and identical to all travel lodges. It was spotlessly clean.
