Have used this hotel on several business trips to the area. The saff re expulsion and polite. Rooms clean ad well equipped with all a business traveller would need, trouser press iron and board. Beds fine with flat screen TV for guests use. Only negative moment would be on the showers. Just a trickle comes out. I like a good power shower in the morning and end of day. They rally should sort this one out.

Room Tip: Rooms 50 - ,65 best located for bar nd restaurant. No lift in hotel so may be an issue for those wit...

I upgraded to an Executive Room and first impressions were good. The room is a good size with a desk, dressing table, dining room table and two seater settee in the room. This was decorated nicely and I had no issues with the room. There is a complimentary small bottle of red and white wine, still and sparkling water and coke and lemonade which is a nice touuch. The bathroom felt really dated and needed to be replaced - the grouting was grey and dirty in places and did not feel of a standard of an executive room.
Location is about a mile outside Witney itself but has two garages for bits and pieces within easy walking distance. There is free wifi which is really slow. I paid £15 to upgrade for 24 hours service but it was only marginally better. I looked at the gym and it was very small - the pool was really small too - not great for a 4* hotel in my opinion.

This 4 Pillars hotels has all the characteristics of this chain: new, well laid out, well sited...
We had a large double and a large single bed in our room which was more than we needed and did make it a lot fuller than it should have been. The television was mounted on the wall facing the bed, but did not move, and I always find it quite uncomfortable trying to watch from that position. The provision of a trouser press, iron and ironing board added to the facilities in the room but was rather too much in what could have been a very pleasant sitting, bed room.

Stayed at the Four Pillars as daughter has recently moved to Witney. We has booked a Connoisseur room which was spacious and meant that we had wine, water and soft drinks each day. In order to get to the room which was at the back of the hotel, we had to walk through corridors past the gym, changing rooms and various storage areas, then up a set of stairs, which was a little bit strange. However, the room itself was very nice. We decided to eat in the hotel the first night and were a little perturbed when there appeared to be only one other diner in the restaurant when we arrived. However, we needn't have worried as the food was excellent, and delivered by a very friendly waitress. The location is handy for various attractions, although I wouldn't recommend trying to get to the hotel along the A40 from Oxford during the rush hour. All in all though, we would be happy to stay here again.

We booked this hotel as we heard good things about the chain. Im so glad we ignored the horrible reviews on here as the hotel is nothing like it and we were pleasantly surprised. On arrival we were met by a smiley receptionist who made us feel welcome but dint over do it as some hotels do. She explained that the hotel has had a new key system installed. I dont like these cards very much and expressed concerns that they never seem to work. A manager(I think) walked passed and overheard the conversation and politely offered to walk us to our room to ensure we got in and helped with luggage(didnt even have to ask). the room to be honest needed updating but was a good size, clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and it was very good. Simple but so very tasety. they had an information computer in the foyer where where we could print maps to walk to the lake and witney centre, handy!
Witney is lovely with lots of shops in such a cute little town. We had some lunch in Witney.
We got back to the hotel and had a drink in the sun, they have got some tables and chairs outside the bar. (Not exacly what i would call a beer gardern but it worked) They served a local Ale that is apparently brewed in witney, very nice.
When we checked out the same manager saw us and came to talk to us. We mentioned our room being quite old, so he offered to show us one of the new ones which are lovely.
In closing, great service, great facilities, had a lovely swim in the leisure club. Great value for money. Try and get one of the new rooms
Oh and dont pay attention to some of the horrible reviews on here. We will be going back soon, hopefully

We chose the Four Pillars because of it's convenient location. Situated about 15 minutes from Brize Norton the hotel seemed an ideal choice for a stop over for an early morning flight.

The hotel has a tidy appearance from the outside and we were welcomed well by the receptionist. The room (47) was small but clean and functional. The bathroom however was rather dated and could have done with a bit of a spruce up. The over-the-bath shower wasn't quite up to par with regards to water pressure and it took about 10 minutes for the water to heat up sufficiently.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to sample the breakfast as the abrupt waiter informed me that breakfast started at 0800 and not at 0730! Well it was a Sunday.

Would I recommend it? Well it was very convenient with just a 15 minute walk into the beautiful town, but it could do with a bit of a once over.

We booked this hotel at the last minute but really enjoyed our stay. We booked a connoisseur room - this was a view of the front and back of the hotel and complimentary soft drinks, wine and water each day of our stay. The hotel was very clean and staff very approachable.

We didn't use the leisure facilities but would return in the future as these were very appealing.

Breakfast was perfect and both continental and full english were available.

We didn't eat at the hotel as we felt that it was quite pricey. However, it was only a comfortable 15 minute walk to the centre of Witney where there were plenty of restaurants and pubs.

Room Tip: Choose the Connoisseur room - it is spacious and complimentary drinks are available. We were on the...
