We went on a Friday night at the end of the month as there was entertainment on which was really good .Locals were very friendly and having a good time. But the landlord and landlady looked so miserable and weren't very friendly seriously that pub could be a little gold mine just cheer up

We had booked 2 nights but after 1 night I cancelled the second night,. the room was very small and there was black mold in the shower, the only thing i can say was OK was the breakfast.we went for breakfast but was 5 minutes early the owner i think who was in the kitchen said not open for 5 minutes but it was the way he said it.The bedroom still had wood chip wallpaper on. I thought that finished in the eighties.

We didn't stay at the hotel, we stayed at a local campsite. It was the campsite owners who actually recommended the Stokesay Inn.
The pub is dog friendly and you can eat food in the main bar & i think a bar out back. We had 2 small dogs, so were very thankful to find a pub that accepted dogs :o)
The staff were really very pleasant and the food was great value. It was cooked really quickly and very tasty. We shared whitebait for a starter and both had steak for main. Plenty of food and we left feeling very satisfied.
Of course this is a local town pub so you get the regulars in the pub, but that was fine for us.
We would defo return if in the area again

Room was clean and spacious enough for 2 bikers with the usual clobber. Shower was hot. Plenty of tea and coffee and topped up daily. Breakfast was great. £95 for 2 nights B&B was great value.
Pub was pretty quiet on Tues/Wed but the locals were very friendly and welcoming as were Alison and Pete.
Only downside was one local who was being a pain but we were assured by the management that they would be resolving the problem very shortly.
I'd definitely stay there again !
