We had a three night stay at only £19.00 per night. Being regular users of Premier Inns we know we are going to get a well presented room and a high standard of cleanliness throughout. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed good lighting and adjustable heating controls. We had three undisturbed nights as is usually the case when we stay with Premier Inns this is what keeps us returning for further stays. The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful and always smiling (I have seen quite the opposite in many other hotel chains) The restaurant next door had a good menu and was excellent value for money.
As a retired couple we will continue to have short breaks away every few months,we visited Wales this time and stayed at the Premier Inn in Carlisle just before Christmas. I would urge all older people to try Premier Inns for short breaks so warm, comfortable and relaxing what better way to get through our winter months, and if you fancy a hot toddy the pub is next door.!

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Warm and comfortable bed. Heating easy to control. 15 mins walk to centre of Oswestry. Reasonable Table Table restaurant right next door. If you can get a booking for less than full price (I paid £38 per night on line) I don't think there is better value at this standard anywhere near - maybe the travel lodge over the road but PI is much better.

Room Tip: I guess the rooms facing the car park at the front will be quieter than those at the back facing tow...

We had a comfortable stay in as much as the rooms were clean, big with lovely big towels and tea making facilities, but the lighting was either full on ceiling lights (very bright!) or wall lights for reading (very dull) so that wasn't particularly great if lighting is one of your things! The noise throughout the hotel with doors slamming was pretty bad, I got less than 4 hours sleep because of it. Don't ask for an alarm call, other guests allowing the door to their room close on its own when exiting their room will be enough to wake you up in the mornings at 5am! Plus our children could hear the generator at the restaurant next door through the night as their beds were directly under the window. But It was great value and I never expect to sleep in hotels anyway. The restaurant next door was good and accommodating, lovely fires, friendly service and affordable meals. I would highly recommend the breakfast, an absolute bargain, especially if you have children as they get theirs for free for every paying adult. All in all a comfortable stay, I'll just remember the earplugs next time!

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side (as looking at hotel) would possibly be quieter as you can hear the generator...

We stayed in a family room with our 4 and 6 year old children. Reception staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The children were made to feel most welcome and loved the fact that the Receptionist had lost one of her rubber ducks in our room and needed them to help her find it!!
On entering the room, we were pleasantly surprised to find how spacious it was. Having booked a family room, we were expecting a normal room with a couple of additional beds cramped into it. Not so. It was light, airy, extremely clean and most importantly, it was lovely and warm. The kids were entertained for the first 10 minutes adhering to their mission to find the lost rubber duck!! Once found, they couldn't wait to do as they'd been asked and take it down to Reception. Brilliant!! Our children can be very shy with strangers but both wanted to carry the duck and hand it in to the Receptionist - obviously they'd felt comfortable with her from our checking in time!!! On receipt of the duck, the Receptionist went and found the kids some chocolate as a thank you for their efforts! Such a simply thing to do but immediately made our kids feel welcome and reassured for what was their first time in a hotel rather than a villa or apartments! We decided to have dinner in the Oswalds Cross restaurant next door. Good choice of dishes, the kids could pretty much mix and match their meals ie pick a main, choose their accompaniment etc etc. All staff in the restaurant and bar area were wonderful. From their mannerisms, every one of the staff appeared to enjoy working there. There was not one person who looked like it was a chore... all helpful and so so friendly. This is definitely a hotel and restaurant we would use time and time again should we need to stay somewhere in this area. A very pleasurable overnight stay. Well done Premier Inn

This Premier Inn is excellent !! Staff friendly & efficient. Our Room was warm, clean, contained all the usual amenities, large comfortable bed. GREAT!!!!!
Spent New Years Eve in the onsite Oswalds Cross Table Table Restaurant. The food & entertainment were very good, overall a very enjoyable evening (and early morning)
Ideal base for touring North/Mid Wales.

Room Tip: this Hotel is situated on the fringe of an Industrial Estate, so the outlook is not very good.

Have used this hotel quite a few times over the past year or so - always ultra-clean, always welcoming.
The restaurant next door has a nice atmosphere and we've eaten there many times and never had a bad experience.
Usual high Travel Inn standard, prices very competetive.

We stayed here for one night having got a special deal which was just £10 more than the nearby Travelodge. Of course, the Premier Inn standard is way above Travelodge, and this particular inn is one of the best we have stayed in. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and eager to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless and well equipped - towels, bath mat, soap, shower gel, hairdryer, tea/coffee, etc. There was a good level of lighting, a desk with a desk lamp, and a flat screen TV with Freeview. It was nice to have lots of coathangers and shelves. Just a few negatives. The bed was a little high for me (I am only 5 feet tall and it was a long way down!). Also, there was no shaver socket in the bathroom or the room itself (Room 210). Don't know whether this was an oversight or deliberate - we've never come across the problem before.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the building have a slightly better outlook, although the inn is on an industr...
