Stopped here for a quick lunch after visiting Tarr Steps. Beautiful location with great views. Weather was a little unpredictable so we ate inside. Our table looked out across the steps and river. We had sandwiches which were good and nicely presented. Chips were very tasty and hot! Based on our experience we would recommend.

So ate here on a Saturday night, we like to eat early so we were on our own in the very pleasant restaurant for a while but this didn’t matter. Service was very good, attentive without being over the top. The food was good, although the crab rarebit starter was lacking in crab flavour, the mains of sea bass were very good however. Tasty puddings and a nice wine from a good list, all in all very good.

There are many reasons for me writing this review (I'm not a serial reviewer). The first being the friendly greeting from the staff and then the food - wow delicious cod with bacon followed by cheesecake for me and roulade for my friend. The location is beautiful and we will most definitely be back.

Stopped here for lunch whilst doing a circular walk from Dulverto to Tarr Steps. We found the pub very welcoming even though we were a tadge muddy. We had a pint and a glass of lovely chilled wine ,a cheese foccacia and hot steak foccacia. The sandwiches were lovely. The pub is certainly worth a visit.
