We went on the recommendation of Trip Advisor , and , as usual, It didn't let us down. A warm welcome from humans (and dogs!) and excellent, freshly cooked food. It's a pity the restaurant area is all rather dark brown , which rather lets down everything else . Recommend.

This part of Somerset appears to specialise in excellent staff and service. The Bell is no exception. Our food was v good, well presented and fairly priced - all in all an excellent good old-style pub.

Worth while seeking it out.

The restaurant of this pub is very popular the food is well prepared, tasty and of ample portions. Some of the specials seem to sell out quite quickly but there is plenty of other choice so you should not be too disappointed.

Pleasant staff, great beer and food. Set in picturesque village of Evercreech opposite the church, parking is on the front forecourt and is first come first served. Several well kept real ales and extensive menu and specials board, all freshly cooked. Provided myself and colleagues with sustenance in comfortable and convivial surroundings for several evenings whilst we were working in the area. Looking forward to be back soon! When we arrived we were met by a very friends member of staff, who greeted us and checked us in. She offered to help us with our luggage to our room. The room was pleasant and had everything we needed for our stay. Complimentary tea and coffee, soap in the shower room etc., We met the owner Dean later who is a very pleasant and friendly man. His wife Anna is also very friendly and provided us with a lovely breakfast each morning. We met the rest of their staff over the coming days , all were friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the area and offered advise quite freely. Unfortunately The Bell does not do evening meals on a Sunday, so we only had one evening meal in their restaurant. My husband had the steak and ale pie which he has stated to all who would listen, that it is the best he has ever had. Ample parking, prices of food reasonable, and a pleasant outlook from the bedroom over the countryside.
