We went for Sunday lunch, extensive menu with plenty of choice and a good specials board.

Waiting times were acceptable. The food was lovely, the chips alone are worth a second visit.

It is acoustically loud as most places are but overall fab

Stopped at this Marston's pub on way to Cornwall having eaten here before. Car park is always full and the Marston's 2for 1 offer is a good one. On this occasion my meal arrived extremely quickly and the steak and ale pie presumably had been kept warm for sometime as it was flabby and uninteresting by the time it arrived with me together with the chips which I presume had also been kept warm for sometime. The sticky toffee pudding wasn't sticky as it had dried out and was only made edible by addition of the custard provided. The meal plus a pint of delicious Pedigree only cost £15 but whatever the price the food should still be of an acceptable standard. Recently I believe Vintage Inns and The Hall and Woodhouse chain provide better quality food. It shouldn't all be about price.

Good sized portions, decent waiting time, reasonable prices. Great for family gatherings and the like but is not a massive restaurant so it can be very busy at times.
