We were let down with accommodation (scammed) in Tynemouth, so heading back home we stayed here for 3 nights to recover from the trauma.
The only Travelodge in our experience which actually had a staff member on the desk most times we were coming and going. Usually you are met with a number to ring to summon someone. We travel with a dog and are familiar with the brand.
All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and well kept, if a little noisy being a stop off on the A1M and facilities open 24 hours.
It is very close to Richmond and easy access to the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.

Can't fault the place, basic but all you need for a good nights rest. Could do with more tea and coffee in the room but I'm sure if I'd asked a reception they would have provided more.

It was not easy to get to from the south plus both north and south hotels had same post code. Hotel was a bit tired looking and in need of refurbishment. No usb chargers on sockets, still using keys for rooms no security chain on door. We where not offered breakfast, I had to remind the receptionist to check in my car registration.
