Staff v pleasant but road and carpark noise bad. Bed sagged in middle, bathroom needs upgrading. Heating indufficient for size of room. Dont consider staying until builders finish.

Stayed here Monday 13th for Valentines night away excellent value for money. Rooms very clean as is the bathroom. Basic to some but ideal for one night away. Took up offer of £22 each meal deal which was EXCELLENT 3 course meal with drink and then an all you can eat breakfast on valentines morning - PERFECT way to my fiances heart. The atmosphere in the Lakeside is perfect for that sly evening away from your kids. Yes there is refurb works going on but at no stage did this disrupt our stay.

Great hotel, although there are refurbishments taking place as of Jan 12, so ring first to check these have finished as it was a bit noisy early in the morning.

Stayed here for the first time at Christmas as not enough room at the in-laws.
Friendly welcome, comfortable beds, clean room. Didn't do breakfast or dinner as we ate at the in-laws.
Convenient location for us ...20 min walk to the in-laws.
We'll definitely be staying again. Excellent value for money for an excellent night's sleep!

Room Tip: A room at the back ensure minimal road noise.
