The Discovery Centre in Balranald is a great example to other towns of how to provide a stopping point to attract travellers. The principle is simple, that is, provide clean toilets and washrooms and a cafe that makes excellent, good value food and coffee in attractive surroundings. Balranald was typically a place "where you turned right on the main highway" on the way from Adelaide to Sydney. Now there is reason go into the town to break the drive. Well done to whoever came up with the concept. It is well worth stopping.
