The reason this is a hard review is becasue I don't want to many people to know what an amazing lace this is.
But out of respect for the owners who need to make a profit from their business so they can keep up the high standards I will.
Firstly having the whole property to ourselves was to good to believe, it just made the weekend even more special.
We had one of the 2 bedroom Cottages. Perfectly kept and clean with fire ready to go. The place has everything you need except for..........salt and pepper. Which in the end became our catch-cry. "this place is perfect except for the........".
Games for kids and well fitted out kitchen except for....
In our first 20 minutes we watched a calf being born 50 metres from the front door, we had a wombat run in front of us and watched kangaroos hop by. Seriously all we needed was a platypus having dinner with a koala to beat all that.
We even had a fox around for the 2 days which is not good for all the baby calf's.
Stood in the rain for an hour attempting Yabbie fishing without luck but when your son is having the time of his life who cares.
This is a great family or romantic getaway.
We cant wait for the next trip but we just won't tell anyone how good it is.

We had no electricity on 2 occasions, both at night when we were due to cook dinner etc. It was freezing and only had the log fire, which doesn't throw out a lot of heat, unless you are standing right next to it! My partner had to use the BBQ in freezing/blizzard conditions and couldn't really see when he was doing. Need more lighting in the BBQ area, gas lamps etc we couldn't see anything, torches were supplied, which were out of batteries and needed recharging (hard to do when you don't have electricity). There was no water on both occasions when the electricity went out....which meant no showers/baths...ewwww!!! Would be great if the cabins had gas to cook/shower/heating etc. for when there are blackouts. We paid $900 for 3 nights and expected a whole lot more, or at least be able to function properly. Otherwise had a good (freezing) time.

This was our third year at Bindo Creek Cabins but it's the sixth for our friends. We come back in April every year with five other families for a three day two night stay to visit the State Forest for saffron mushrooms. Without doubt the accommodation was awesome. This year we booked the adjoining house at Waters Edge. The house was equally amazing if not better. The children loved the paddle boat around the dam and it was a nice leisurely walk between both places. Looking forward to next year...

Room Tip: All cabins and house great for family of five

It was wonderful to escape into the cooler mountain temperatures, see the autumn leaves, smell the clean air & ponder life while gazing out over the rolling hills. There were plenty of kangaroos, wallabies, wombats & cows to see, and the Lucas Cave Tour at Jenolan Caves was interesting from both a geological & historical perspective. Around 2.5 hours out of Sydney is an escape from the everyday.

Every detail is covered with this place. We booked the Watersedge cabin at Bindo Creek and it was fantastic. Library of DVDs, colouring books and pencils for the kids, coffee pods fully stocked for the machine- everything taken care of. The fire place is amazing to keep the place warm (we had it going the entire weekend) and the owners are super friendly. Could not recommend highly enough!
