Our family of four stayed for 4 nights. The cottage was clean and cosy. it suited us perfectly. It is not luxurious but it is perfect for a family. The location could not have been prettier and we had a great time. The kitchen was well appointed. We will definitely stay again. The hosts were extremely helpful.

We had Banksia Cottage. A cosy fire that really warmed the whole place beautifully after a couple of hours. Comfortable beds. Lots of warm snuggly doonas. Ver well-equppied kitchen and a super high pressure hot shower!
There was tons of firewood. Books and games. Very clean.
Wentworth Falls is a great village and you don't need to go far to get what you want. Highly reccommend this accommodation.

Room Tip: The Cottages all look great. Depends on how many people as to which one would suit you.

We had a lovely weekend away in the wattle cottage and this was our first time here. It was fantastic! The cottage was just what we were looking for, very rustic and cute, nestled in the bush. Great for privacy, and clean with everything you need for a 'back to basics' style holiday. The toilet was a self composting style one (no flush) but we had no troubles with it, still very clean and no problems with smells or anything. Spa bath view of the Bush is beautiful. We never even saw the owners but they were easy to contact via email and it was all run really smoothly with no interference from them during our stay. Will definitely be coming back!! Thank you!

We checked into Wattle Cottage for a 2 night stay, the cottage was quite pleasant although a little dark and everything including cushions and throw rugs felt a little dirty.
We went to bed and found the bed sheets to be covered in sand which wasn't nice and then we had to sleep on dirty sheets for 2 nights. I think this is really quite poor standard if clean crisp sheets cannot be provided. The bed linen is all a bit grubby and smelly as well.
The water runs out while having a shower as it is on a timer which is really annoying if you are already wet and cold and then have to wait 10 minutes for it to reset. The composting toilet is disgusting and makes you scared to go to the toilet. The rain water tank was full of leaves so not sure how the tank is going to fill up? The combustion fire wasn't the best as the fire would not stay alight, the newspapers provided in the wood basket were all damp. Just hope we don't get charged the $10 for the fire wood. We did enjoy feeding the beautiful parrots in the mornings and afternoons.

Stayed here for a weekend away in the Wattle cottage and couldn't have been happier. The place is quietly tucked away in the bush with everything you need. Trade watching the tv for the fire and enjoy some down to earth relaxation. Only 5mins drive to town shops and 15mins from Katoomba for anything else. Close to a huge range of bush walks and local sites, I cannot fault this place in anyway. It was spotless when we arrived and the fire was already started. We will definitely be coming back!

The location for Bunjaree Cottages is really beautiful and quiet, perfectly suited for a getaway from the hype of the city. However, once we entered the cottage we were very displeased. The cottage had very obviously not been professionally cleaned in which included bed linen from the previous visitors still not replaced and wet towels scrunched onto the drying rack in the bathroom. This is stretching 'self-contained' too far as there are certain levels of hygiene required when running such a business, although by the notes left by the owners it seemed they were too busy with their 'other work and studies' to properly maintain the cottages. We stayed one night on spare sheets we found and left for home early in the morning. When we rang the owner, he was rude, admitted he forgot to hire a cleaner and that we were staying, constantly speaking over the top of me, offered to get it clean by as early as midday. Not good enough. Safe to say we won't stay again

I am sorry to have taken so long to respond to your review.

First, you are quite right: we made a terrible error, and ordered our cleaners to the wrong cottage. The cottage you booked had not been prepared at all, and we apologise.

We are also sorry that you spent such an awful and unacceptable night. We would have rushed to your assistance had we known.

Second, it was never my intention to be rude. I merely wanted to apologise, and to offer whatever we could offer to set things right.

Once again: this was a terrible mistake on my part, and I am happy to repeat in public the apology I offered in private.

If you love Rustic and cabin style cottages this escape is for you. As someone who has spent all her life in ski lodges, and camping outdoors, the do-it-yourself hut style accommodation was perfect for us 3 adults and 3 Teen boys. We felt comfortable for our 3 days there, and it really felt we were all on our own in a forest, with no intrusions or other people in sight. We are bush walkers, bird watchers and mountain bikers, so it fitted our outdoorsy naturalist style. The boys loved it, and loved the cabin/cubby house feel of the upstairs room in Banksia Cottage. Is this accommodation full of the mod cons? Nope if you want all of that, this place is not for you. But if you love seclusion, real pot belly style fires, an off the grid type of experience, feeling as if you are in the bush with the birds and the possums then this will suit you just fine! Everything works that needs to work and the outside bathhouse is a treat! The knick Knacks, old magazines and books all adds to the wilderness charm.
