Little bit overdue on this review, had thought we had left a review. Had to correct this as this place delivers in spades. If you want a truly one of a kind experience that is secluded, picturesque and outstanding in the best way possible this is it. Great for couples, excellent base to work from to many accessible Tassie delights and terrific for staying in to whip up a meal from superb local produce. Will not and cannot disappoint.
It is when we were driving up the winding road to this property, looking out across the view, that we knew we were in for something special. But it was more than special, it was spectacular!
My husband and I looked at each other as we scanned across the interior & its beauty, knowing we had picked the best place possible to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The chalet itself is private and peaceful, we woke to the sound of birds chirping and the 2 resident horses galloping softly up the hill to their watering tray. Of course I couldn't help but pop out and give them a pat.
This place is remote and heavenly, and if you're looking for somewhere special to celebrate an occasion or just need to unwind from daily life, this is the place.
I would like to thank the hosts, Anne particularly, for their prompt reply whenever we had a question about anything really. She was more than accommodating.
Grab yourselves some local goodies in Geeveston (the closest town) and tuck yourself away in heaven. You won't be disappointed.
I hope we can get back to Tasmania soon, and definitely to Shanleys!
