Kokopelli Lodge is a hidden gem overlooking the Bass Strait. Upon arrival, Jedda wasn't there but a quick phone call and 5mins later we were introduced to our cabin. The cabin is very spacious with everything you need for a self-sufficient stay. The room was quite cold on arrival but the reverse cycle air con fixed that pretty quickly and Jedda was great in showing us around and how to use different amenities, etc.
Dinner options are scarce so the best idea was to hit up the local butcher and IGA (3min drive) and return to the cabin to cook up our own dinner. The complimentary cheese platter and wine were obliterated as the fully equipped kitchen was utilised for the main course. There is a TV and DVD player however with such a tranquil place, we found it best to just chill and relax with some good food and good wine (note that the local liquor store has a limited selection)!
My girlfriend could NOT shut-up about the bathroom... heated floors, massive bath, DOUBLE showers... I mean, the bathroom really was pretty speccy!! We had a choice of the king bed upstairs or the queen downstairs and of course, choke the king! The air con did it's job at keeping us warm throughout the night yet even if not, the electric blankets finished the job nicely.
Your morning starts off pretty well with food, juice and tea/coffee already provided in the kitchen. Some awesome yoghurt, eggs, bacon, brekky sausage, OJ and coffee later and we had plenty of energy to continue our journey. My only regret is not being able to stay their longer!!
