Huge hotel & restuarant, not very busy only one other table seated. Meal was only OK, smoked salmon fish cakes were just bland mash & the oysters were not fresh. For a region that prides itself on fresh/quality was let down.

The hotel has a fantastic outlook over Georges Bay, is rated as 4 star and could be if the management set their mind to it. A meal for a large group was booked earlier in the day and we arrived to find the restaurant pretty full and only 2 waiting staff serving the food, drink and hotel reception. A credit to the ladies working as they kept everything running fairly smoothly and all our meals came out in a reasonable timeframe. The food was tasty but the only complaint I have is that the size of the main courses were closer to entree than main. Have been there previously for the local nights and have had mixed results though generally satisfactory.

Started out potentially dodgyish, but overall a very pleasant experience. A family of four with the adults having the steak cooked to our liking...they did stuff up the veggies over salad & chips on one but it turned out as probably a preferable choice. One child had the kids fish & chips which was more than adequate size for her and the oldies being a little more fussy opted for the Arenci Balls entree as her mains which turned out large enough for her. For dessert we had raspberry soufflé, orange & almond cake and sticky date pudding.... We all enjoyed our meals. $4 for bottled still water probably was a little steep, but overall the restaurant was a very enjoyable evening

We came here just to have a different place to go at night.
I had the chicken which was very good. Subtle flavours and well presented.
My wife had the vegetable stack. Unfortunately it was so oily she could not finish it.
The service was friendly.
Unfortunately when we left it was vey difficult to find our vehicle as there was not lighting in the car park - quite dangerous.
Thank goodness for the remote which lit our car up.

The restaurant is within Tidal Resorts, a very nice hotel. For the restaurant though, a pretty poor experience for us I'm afraid. The waitress was friendly and seemingly helpful, but not very effective. My wife had asked for the fish without potato and a side salad without capsicum, and both were still generously included when the dishes finally came out, so not sure what the notes she took on her order pad were for ... There were not a lot of people (maybe 4 tables in total), and one couple ahead of us, but still took 45 min for the food to come out. Unfortunately the wait was not worth the while, as both our dishes tasted pretty average - canteen quality food, at fancy restaurant prices ... disappointing.
