We stayed one night and it was ok for what we really needed: a place to sleep. We didn't spend any real time at the motel and chose to head into town rather than hang around.

Overall I give it "average" given the price we paid but The Holiday Inn was 3 times the price. For what we received, it was ok.

The property has lower outside motel-style parking-lot facing room doors and upstairs internal hotel-style hallway access to rooms.

Pros: air conditioning was excellent and beds comfortable.

Cons: bathrooms are tiny - basically room to barely close the door behind you. Room had a distinctive odor when you opened the door (not sure if former smoking room or musty smell) and laminate flooring was a little dirty (could use a sweeping or vacuuming).

If you are a larger person, you might fall into the tub. The confirguration is quite interesting as with the double beds, the room allows for more space than you might expect in many hotel rooms - they could actually move the bathroom wall a couple of feet outwards to create more room space.

Unfortunately outside our room there were some chicken leg bones, beer caps and a sun-melted hotdog on the ground where it looks like a group had a little parking-lot hanging with a hibachi.

The security latch on the door was broken so fingers crossed the deadbolt worked.

The property is trying hard to upgrade its motel environment - looks like never furniture in the rooms, with some upgrades. Fresh mulch on the flower beds and generally clean.

We had a 7am game so we were out of the room very early so really didn't spend much time there.

Room Tip: Either choose parking lot motel-style room access or 2nd floor hotel-style access.

Dan and i like the Red Roof's because they are pet friendly and pretty consistant in the areas of upkeep and cleanliness.. This one was a bit more dated and our room had an odor we couldnt quite put our finger on.. The staff could have been a bit more helpful and friendly.. But all in all.. Good clean beds and bathroom.. Cable tv.. Did have to go thru a reservation site online to get a good price.. About 30 bucks cheaper than what they would give us on the phone..Be safe traveling

Clean, friendly and convienetly located at a reasonable price. Recently renovated and updated. I was pleased to find this Red Roof after a 12 hour drive from Montreal. There is no free breakfast but great rates trump powdered eggs any day. And, depending on your room location, you can park at your rooms door. A big plus for me.

While traveling to a breeder to purchase a new dog, we stopped here for a night. The place was quiet and clean. Loved the wood floors for the dog and the carpet by the bed for us humans. The check-in was quick. Staff very pleasant. Clean, no smell, quiet, no problems!

But honesty is important for other travelers. The pluses are great location, pet friendly and friendly staff. We did not bring a pet, but other people did and that was fine.
The bads far out weighed the good. In a newly renovated handicapped room I expect the amenities to work. That means upon arrival the sink should not be clogged. They fixed it as soon as we notified them. The built in hair dryer and the coffee maker were both broken and unusable.
We could walk down to the lobby for coffee and a hand hairdryer, but keep in mind the handicap rooms are at the far end of the first row of buildings from the office,
The walls here are very thin. Imagine hearing your neighbors normal conversations. Now imagine what happens when a little old lady moves into the room next door at 3AM and blasts her TV until 7AM. We spoke to her the next day and she did try to keep it down the next night. But by 2:30AM we just started home, as we weren't going to get any sleep anyway.

Room Tip: Choose it at a another hotel.
