The Rodelbahn Gurten is gratis with City Card. It was raining and only a few people there. The train itself was a bit old but it was unforgetable experience.
I was wrong, following google map "Grúnenboden" , I took the bus and landed in the middle of the track. The train itself was not stop in the middle point, so I walked to the down station : "Parkhaus Gurtenbahn" in google map
Lucky it was not far, and the view was so greeny, a lot trees and birds singing.

I conquered «Mount Güsche», as the locals call it. I’m super proud of myself and I definitely recommend this for people to go try it. Do not give up! Once you start motivate yourself to get to the summit. You will never regret doing this!

It was so easy, taking Tram 9 from Bern to Gurtenbahn and then the thrilling ride to the summit.
A perfect blue sky afternoon gave magnificent vistas over the city and to snow capped Jungfrau further southwards.
We relaxed with a coffee at the fine Hotel. Then strolling along the pathways admiring the clarity and scenery. Before descending and returning to the city.

Absolute fun for kids and families. Very well maintained. Funicular ride will take you to the top where all fun awaits. Huge park with lots of options for kids to play with. The toy train ride (chargeable) will take you around the park. The slides, climb-ons and some kind of ball maze - all of them keep the kids busy. The tall tower at one side gives a breathtaking view of the whole city. One side of this spot is left untouched where people can sit and unwind.
Bonuses- Restaurant and clean toilets. An ice cream shop
Tips : Save some coins as your kids will definitely want to try out the battery operated car rides multiple times.
