This hotel provides a snapshot in history, but not a good one... The furniture is all old, beaten up. Water stains on ceiling. Flat, firm, squeaky mattress. Breakfast is just powdered sugar donuts, so be prepared to go out for breakfast. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Room tip: Don't stay here

The location was fun, across the street from a beach and restaurant, but it was shabby, and Mr. Ed restaurant next door started playing pounding music at 10:00 p.m. We even changed rooms to get farther from the noise, and could still hear it, and were unable to sleep. We left the hotel that night, got rooms at a quieter hotel, and they gave us our money back. Would never recommend it.

Room tip: Don't stay there unless you are a big partier.

This was a nice hotel with a very friendly staff! Miles, the front desk clerk was especially friendly and very helpful! This is an older hotel, but our room on the first floor was very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. There is an indoor pool and a continental breakfast with the basic cereal, muffins, waffles and juice. Their sister hotel is right across the street and you can use the beach, lounge chairs, and beachfront deck. It is about a block or two from the jet express. Mr Eds bar and lounge is in the hotel, and right across the street is Docks Beach House where you can sit on the patio overlooking the beach and watch the Jet Express come and go. It was a perfect location for us!

The free breakfast consisted of little donuts & coffee. The room was dirty - the dust was crusted on the light bulbs & the head board had not been dusted for some time. The people who were supposed to be on duty were often missing from the front desk.

We stayed at this hotel several years ago, and it was in much better condition then. The AAA also over-rated the hotel.

We have traveled the world and hate to down-rate a place, but such is the case. We will not ever go back to the Commodore Perry.

Recently took a last minute, one night trip to Put n Bay with my wife. I didnt want the 2 night minimum most hotels require, plus they had a few rooms available. There are some reviews I dont agree with so I figured I would write one. Yes the hotel is older, like almost every hotel in the area, dont mistake that for being dirty. Yes it was clean. Yes the guest reception was polite and friendly. The location is perfect. They let us park the car early in the morning before we had our room and we stumbled off the last ferry. It took us less than 5 minutes to walk to the hotel. We were greeted with live music/ food at Mr Eds on site, across the street was the beach club, more drinks and live music. When we finally went back to the room, we could hear music, and people partying but nothing that kept either of us from falling asleep. Really not a big deal!!!!!! People go to Put n Bay to party so obviously there is going to be noise. I did not feel threatened at all like I read in some reviews. I probably wouldnt send my wife out to the car by herself in the middle of the night but that is pretty much anywhere. I am always nervous about my car and it was safe in the parking lot. I noticed other high dollar cars so I felt ok about leaving it anywhere on the lot. I would stay here again, its a great location, has options to have fun after the bay, offers single night stays, and the price is comparable to other hotels. I just feel the hotel needs an honest review.
