The last time we visited LeDoux's, they were in a different location. The newer location in downtown Troy has a different layout --smaller separate rooms- but the food was just as we remembered! The house dressing, a roasted red pepper, was excellent and improved the basic salad. Etoufee was excellent as always...almost as good as my own. Hubby enjoyed his Blackened Voodoo beer, which we can't find anywhere north of the Mason Dixon. Abita and other Dixie products also available (bottles only). Our waitress was very good and parking was on street in front of the building. Troy street parking isn't parallel parking so no worries about that.
Our only complaint is the alligator appetizer. There were only three pieces, served on top of a large portion of French fries. The menu did not say anything about fries, and for the price we thought 3 pieces was skimpy. The fries were great but the alligator was terrible...very tough and the breading was all grease. In the past it was excellent, so not sure what happened this time. Next time we'll order the crab cakes appetizer!
Troy has a nice little downtown to walk around, even if most shops are closed early on weeknights.
