The LeDoux's restaurant has a catering truck that attends many local festivals. The food at the catering truck has always been very good so we wanted to try the actual restaurant. It was very disappointing. We went on a Wednesday evening with friends. There were very few people in the restaurant. We were seated right away and drinks were served right away. The sweet tea is wonderful but that was one of the few good points of the meal.
We were given a plate of butter and oil as soon as we sat down but the bread did not arrive for at least 10 more minutes. The main dishes we ordered took a very long time to arrive. I ordered the bourbon chicken. My husband had the grilled catfish with crawfish etoufee. Both were barely warm. The looked like they had been under heat lamps. My bourbon chicken was simply horrible. The crawfish etoufee was bland and tasted nothing like what is served on the LeDoux's food truck. The other members of our party ordered grilled salmon and a sausage po-boy. Tje salmon was overcooked and dry. The po-boy was the best choice. It looked good and our friend said it was very good.
The waitress apologized for the slow service and said that the owner was the only cook that day. I would expect the food to be better in a restaurant when the owner is cooking. But it was not. This was a huge disappointment and I will not visit again.
