“Gorgeous setting and peaceful stay”

My husband and I just visited Antler Cabin this past weekend with my young son (1 1/2) as well as my mom, sister, and brother-in-law. We had a great time relaxing and fishing! The pictures don't do it justice - such a nice place inside and out! It has a grill, fire pits, 2 ponds on the property, woods, a nice wrap-around porch, and more! Much more spacious, updated, and kid friendly than expected on the inside as well! My ONLY complaint is we didn't have much luck with the fishing. We were reading the guest book and noticed numerous families catching tons of fish (and some rather large!) and we were hoping to do the same, but only caught a few small perch at the end of the day. I would recommend getting bait (worms, minnows, etc) and groceries BEFORE arriving at the cabin because once you get there you won't want to leave! Plus, if you are like us then you may have a hard time finding bait. The main suppliers were out (and we tried 5-6 other places with no luck) but fortunately we were able to find what we needed at Jacks Flea Market on 259 right outside of Broken Bow. We want to come back again when we can stay at least a week! 2 days was not long enough! BTW, the owners were VERY friendly and easy to communicate with which made the whole experience that much greater. Can't wait to book again!

“FABULOUS WEEKEND!!”

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary this weekend. This is a wonderful cabin for any occasion, views are spectacular, and very private! Great fishing too!!
Kitchen pretty much has anything you need for cooking. Tip for those people who don't want to hassle with egg's sticking to your pans, bring your own. And for those who travel with family member's, word of advice on the whoopee side...the bed creaks to no end. :)
Seems to be a draining problem with the bathroom upstairs. Sink & shower begins to fill when running water, not real bad, but it can be annoying sometimes. These issues did not make my trip regrettable in the slightest way. We really enjoyed ourselves and hopefully plan on returning someday. I highly recommend this cabin getaway with 5 star's! Incidentally, I never saw one bug in the cabin.

“A treasure in the forest in Broken Bow”

Antler Cabin in Broken Bow was perfect for a week long vacation. The cabin felt like it was brand new. It had three good-sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a large family room area where we could kick our feet up after a day of hiking, fishing, and kayaking in Broken Bow Lake. It has a great wrap-around porch on 3 sides, 2 nice sized fire pits, and the ponds behind the cabin are full of fish - from small sunfish to some very large catfish. During our 5 days there, we caught over 30 fish in the pond (catch and release) and had a great time. The cabin is well off the highway and surrounded by trees, so you feel one with nature. The cabin provides nearly everything you might need - just bring clothes, food, and whatever outdoors equipment you need to enjoy this beautiful part of Oklahoma. The property backs up the National Forest so take a hike around the property and you'll see deer, squirrels, raccoons, and all kinds of birds. It is only minutes from the lake and from a couple of great places to eat (you have to check out Grateful Head's pizza!). I did a lot of searching around to find the right cabin after a very disappointing experience in Colorado a few years ago and this was everything we were hoping for and more. The owner (Jim) was extremely friendly and helpful and we are so grateful that they decided to share their home in the woods with us. We're already looking at dates for next year!

Everything you need is in the cabin. Anybody who visits this cabin will have a great surprise, because the cabin if fully stocked with everything you need! This is someone's home and it is well taken care of and tastefully decorated and it is HOMEY! There is a stocked pond on the property and one can fish and release! Bird feeders can be fed and deer corn is available for the deer. Bring your binoculars. You might just see some wildlife!
There are games for the kiddos and adults, movies to watch and some reading material available. A fire pit is outside and you can roast marshmallows or make s'mores or roast wienies.
