Owner description: The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City. A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more. Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

We loved this garden; we visited it in July and it was super hot, but there was so much shade and water to stay cool; great place for families and kids! We loved it!

Beautiful place with lots to see. M y 7 yr old loved the natural playground. The grounds are well kept and it was just a beautiful place and wonderful experience all around. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting OKC.

Love the peace! A must do when you have extra time! Find the Mango, coffee and ylang ylang trees! Nice quiet stroll for unwinding.

The Myriad gardes are well located for locals to take time out of their busy day and enjoy the tranquility that the gardens offer. During the winter they offer skating and summer music in the park.

This isn't a large botanical garden but it is a very well planned space. Many children were playing in the children's area and my pup took advantage of the dog park-a nice place for dogs to run free in a safe place.
The sunken part of gardens is wonderful. Terraced plants lead down to a huge koi pond. I don't know when I have seen so many fish in one pond And many of the fish are huge. We also saw, turtles, ducks and a rabbit.
A wedding was set up at one end of the gardens so we were not able to go into that area. I am sure it makes a beautiful back drop for a ceremony.
There are lots of little trails and benches to enjoy the garden. The outdoor garden is free.
The Crystal Bridge requires a fee but was definitely worth seeing. We took about 45 minutes to tour. They are undergoing renovation so only stairs were available for the three story climb.
It is a fascinating place with so may varieties of plants and so many mature specimens. The longer we stood and looked, the more we saw. It is hot and human (just like the rainforest) but worth the effort.
