I made it to the Cherokee Heritage Center and Museum during its anniversary. The museum is a definite must see. It does a great job of depicting the Trail of Tears by using several visual methods through art, writing, maps, textual and sculptures. My children and I learned a lot from the unfortunate history lesson, which also covered the impact on several tribes such as the Choctaw, Muskogee, and Chickasaw tribes.

Trail of Tears exhibit is a must see. Nice presentation on treaties, life before treaties breaking, land/property theft, and the relocation of several native american tribes. The losses; beginning new settlements. There's also an art gallery, gift shop, picnic grounds.
Only way to see the village is on a guided tour. We didn't have the time to wait for the next one, Otherwise, I would give it a higher rating.

This is a must see ! My husbands family is Cherokee and we enjoyed everything this place has to offer. The history is well represented and there is so much to learn. The Trail of Tears exhibit is very informative. We have small children and they really enjoyed the village from the 1800's. We will visit again!

We went to the Cherokee Heritage Center and it was very interesting. We bought a passport that includes admission to 5 places of interest. The walking tour was very fascinating. They tell you about how life was for the Cherokees. You got to see a game that was played and someone making tools. It was very interesting. The museum was also interesting. The works of art were beautiful and so were the figures. You must see this museum if you are interested in the Cherokee.
