We selected Holiday Inn Express at the last minute by searching for nearby hotels while on I-44. We checked in around 2:30 AM and were back on the road by 8:00 AM Friday morning before the Memorial Day Weekend. The night auditor had already run his night audit making it officially the weekend in his system. He gouged us with holiday weekend prices. We paid $144 instead of $109 for using the room for 6 hours. Terrible customer service. He should have overridden the BAR rate or gave us a discount rate. This single approach to customer service would prevent me from using this hotel again. There were dozens of alternative options along I-44 when we searched.

The property itself is clean and well kept but in need of upgrades and renovations. The parking lot has two major pot holes and lots of asphalt spidering. The lobby furniture is worn. The room furniture and bathroom show long term wear and tear.

The upside experiences of the property are the physical location and the housekeeping staff. The hotel is right across the street from the livestock auction and rodeo. It's perfect to walk over there. It's also a very quick on and off from the interstate, which a a great positive for highway travelers. The single best feature are the housekeeping employees. They wear dark blue hospital scrubs, so it's easy to confuse them with staying guests. However, they are funny, engaging, and polite. I watched them during my breakfast as they arrived to work, checked in and started their daily routine. What a joyful happy group of people. They engaged every guest including me, hugged each other, walked arm in arm and laughed at each others jokes. Great people!!!

The staff at this location is outstanding: friendly, responsive, competent.

This is a clean facility.
Facilities management leaves something to be desired, which is the fault of corporate ownership, not staff. Some of the electrical outlets are a bit loose when it comes to gripping the prongs of your plug-in. I can attest to some bathtubs and showers getting a little old. Toilet pressure on the 3 floor is weak - still fully functional.

There are train tracks and an interstate nearby, but there's no more ambient noise than most any other hotel in the world. This hotel is 3 stories tall. A rule of thumb is you're going to hear ground- noise until the 6th floor.

Some moron in an another review rated the hotel poorly for thunder and lightening. Let's get real. This is America. It's a given that you'll have your own bathroom, central heat and air, electricity without some obsolescent ridiculous system of having to stick your room key in the wall, or switch on the electrical outlets to get the electricity to work, modern elevators, free breakfast. Not even poorer per capita europe and developed Asia have those baselines.

This location is very easy access from the highway. It is quiet with a Walmart within walking distance. Room was adequate except for the bathroom lighting. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold items.

Hi Jarle1989,

Your candor in leaving a review is appreciated. I'm glad that you found our location easy access from the highway. Regarded breakfast with good selection. On the other hand, I am sorry if the bathroom lighting fell below your expectations. I have taken note of your comments and have shared them with our management team to review the procedures we have in place and make necessary improvements to our service to ensure guests do not experience this in the future.

As always, we have no issues with Holiday Inn Express Hotel’s. Very friendly staff, good variety of breakfast foods, indoor and outdoor pools, and hot tub. Close enough to Tulsa but better price than Tulsa hotels.
Glad they are IHG affiliated because with our points our stay only cost us $45 a night.
Can’t go wrong with Holiday Inn Express.
