Dee-Ann's was a wonderful find on my trip. Dee was my server and is incredibly friendly, and more than willing to spend time sharing the history of the restaurant and the thousands of tea pots on the walls. Breakfast was delicious - better than you make for yourself at home. The tea room was clearly well attended by locals. A must stop when you are in Brookings.

We met both the Dee and the Ann of the place. They are so so awesome! They gave us suggestions for where else to visit on our trip and invited us to take all the pictures we wanted! Cinnamon buns were awesome! The husband had peanut butter pie that put him into a happiness coma! If we lived nearby, I'd be here every day!

We had a reservation for 8 to eat breakfast. Our host (Dee) was very nice and responsive. She did a great job considering Ann was out of town and a long time server departed the day before. We enjoyed our food and the array of tea pots all around the perimeter. We will be back.

We traveled from Italy to see the Oregon Coast and in our travel guide found Dee-Ann's Tea Room Cafe, so we tried it for breakfast. One of the owners (Dee) even served us herself. She was extremely friendly, happy to answer questions, and very warm and welcoming. But how about the food? Everything is homemade right in the restaurant. We had some homemade biscuits (which were amazing!!!) and a homemade Belgian waffle, the recipe is Dee's mother's recipe if I remember correctly. The waffle was great too! Seriously would recommend this place for a nice breakfast if you're traveling through Brookings. I hear that lunch there is great as well, by the way!!

We went for breakast. One egg and sausage w/country fries and a biscuit ($8.50) and a bowl of oatmeal w/toast ($6.00), and coffee ($1.50 each).

As we waited for our meal we could see the kitcken staff at work. It appeared that nearly everything took a turn in the microwave - incuding the bisciuts.

After our order was delivered, we couldn't get the attention of our waitress. Finally she came by with a coffee refill. We asked for some jelly. She said, "Sure," but she never brought any. Eventually, another waitress came by to top off our coffee. We asked for jelly again. Same thing. A lady from another table overheard our request for jelly and gave us her basket of jelly packets. That was nice, but there was only one packet of strawberry. So, after a while, when another waitress was cleaning up a spill at the next table (which our waitress had noticed, but did not help the couple clean up - or even bring new napkins - although she had waited on them earlier), she noticed us and asked if we needed anything. We asked her if they had any other jelly flavors (we only had grape and apple butter). She said they had orange marmalade and strawberry. We agreed that sounded good. She brought a containter with two jelly canisters (with spoons that fit in the lids). This jelly was old...the top layer was rubbery and wouldn't stir in. We decided we didn't want any jelly, afterall.

The ovens are in another building across the parking lot from the restaurant. We saw a woman carry a large metal bowl with what looked like bisciut dough across the parking lot, and soon she starting carrying pies across the parking lot to the restaurant. When we entered the restauraunt there were two large measuring bowls, of what looked like pancake batter, sitting on the counter next to the register. When we were almost finished with our meal, the lady took those across the parking lot.

Monday mornings seniors receive a 10% discount - or so the sign says. When we asked for the discount, our waitress said it was already calculated in. Our total bill was $17.50 (look at the beginning of this review...there was no discount).

We won't be back.
