Yes, the views from the top are amazing, but be sure to get down to the beach, too. At the pay station (bring $$$), you can go left to Ecola or right to Indian Beach. Try to see them both. We spent three hours hiking the trails, exploring the beach and enjoying the views.

We went to Indian Beach. Paid parking but lots of spots to park and a restroom. Paved paths to walk around and enjoy the beach view. Lots of grass for the kids to enjoy. A trail also leads off into a forestry area. We only walked about 5 minutes in but we could have walked farther.

The trail from Ecola Point - over the river and through the woods to Indian Beach - is closed due to an ongoing earth-slide. But, it is open to the slide and is a wonderful up-down trail on the edge of the Ecola bluff. Wow! Wonderful views in every direction.

We visited Ecola State Park in September and then again this month. It's a very beautiful park with lots of trails and exploring to do. We loved it most at low-tide, so you can explore by the rocks at Indian Beach and see the various sea life around you. It doesn't ever seem overly busy, and there's plenty of parking.

If you're a Twilight fan, this is the beach where La Push is. Surfers galore come here to catch the waves. It's secluded but not to hard to access. Don't miss this beautiful spot.
