Family travelling in a 27' travel trailer; stopped in to explore Portland's sites for a few days. Access was very easy off Hwy 84 (Portland to Dalles), and several vacationer retailers near by (Wal-Mart, Fred Myers, Camping World) and a RV service centre if you're in need.
This facility is well organized and maintained. Sites were paved and generally level with easy angled-access. Pool was clean and refreshing in the heat for travellers. While the facility was great in many respects, it wasn't very active. Generally, the park was full will many beautiful Class 'A' RVs, but there were few people, and even fewer children. Many of these rigs appear to be under long-term rentals.
Some Park Regulations you should be aware of if planning a visit because their Regulations indicate "WE HAVE A NO-REFUND POLICY". I provide these verbatim out of their park guide:
-- "Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult."
-- "No skateboards, skates or Razor scooters."
-- "YOUR PET'S MESS IS YOUR MESS, SO PLEASE CLEAN UP IMMEDIATELY"
-- "NO CLOTHESLINES ALLOWED"
-- "Exercise equipment is for ADULTS ONLY."
-- "Children under 14 may not swim without adult chaperon who is 18 years or older"
Again, nice facility, but believe their target demographic is mature empty-nesters under long-term rentals --- that excludes our family.
