We really enjoyed our stay at this cute beach house. Short walk to the beach, shopping not far away, good seafood in Old Town. We wish we could have stayed longer. We really appreciate that it was dog friendly, because we take our Golden every where. Thank you
I happened upon this rental because Florence seems to have a problem with pet-friendly rentals...a real shortage unless you want to stay in a roadside motel. The house is in a nice neighborhood...Heceta Beach which is a short drive to town. Very convenient. What was really awesome was the nearby/walking distance beach. In all my trips to Florence the one thing I always found strange was the lack of beach access. This has a beautiful beach that goes on forever...really nice. The house was well stocked and really comfortable. We loved it. A nice deck to have a glass of wine or morning coffee.
Now for a couple of downsides and I hate to mention them because really they weren't something that would prevent us from renting there again, but should be mentioned. While the little neighborhood is great, there was construction of a home going on when we arrived, so it was noisy. Also, right above us on the hill is a tavern. While according to neighbors it generally isn't too loud, Sunday night of our stay was ridiculous with lots of rowdy people outside and car/motorcycle engines revving. If you are inside with windows closed, it wasn't unbearable, but if you are really sensitive and expecting total quiet, this might not be the place for you.
Overall though, those outside issues shouldn't take away from all the good of this little place.
