When we decided to visit my aunt in Oregon, we never would have expected having such a great time. We had reservations and there were 5 of us, three generations. It was sprinkling a little bit when we arrived and they had racks of jackets that we could borrow. They also had long covers so that our entire row was covered and wouldn't get real wet. We took the full trip and are glad we did. We saw bear, vultures, turtles, eagles and the list goes on. Our guide was absolutely fantastic. He stopped to give us the history and show us the sites along the way. Also, as we passed fisherman that had a good catch and he would stop the boat so we could see the 'catch.' As the weather warmed up and we traveled along, our guide would spin the jet boat in circles. He was so talented, that he could spin the boat and stop the boat in such a way that he knew exactly who he would be getting wet. What a blast! Also, along the river we passed many kayakers and rafters. Some of these people were in groups and had super soakers (large water guns) and if they really soaked us, the driver would turn the boat in such a way that he would get them WET. It was fun for all and great laughs. We did have two stops along the way. One was for the restroom and snack on the way up and the other was for lunch. You can bring your lunch or you can stop for lunch at the cafe that has a great outdoor patio and beautiful views of the river. Inside on the wall, are pictures of the jet boat races they have had. All in all it was a great time for all ages and we are bringing our kids up July 2012 and we're going to do it again.
