“Winter Prices are Best !”
Reviewed 14 February 2012

We had received a Gift Certificate for the Onthebeach. properties. After reviewing all 4 properties they represent, we decided on the Nantucket Inn for the winter price deal. After confering with the reservation lady, she suggested the Penthouse ~ "because then you wont have people above you."
Upon arrival at Starfish to check in, we were given a strip of paper with directions to the Nantucket... it said.. go down inlet street 4 or 5 houses??? and you'll see it. (or something to that effect) I mean, Helloooo can you just get me a full map with the correct location>>> we found it after 2 wrong turns. but who can get lost in Lincoln City?? (me probably )
We arrived at the Nan, went up this dark stairwell to the Pent. There were the 'sad luxury robes' laid out on the bed. iick !those are not Marriot Robes Girlfriend ! The towels are not Neiman Marcus either. My hubby is a larger man, and those didnt fit around his little belly.
There is no place to put your suitcase. I assume the managers want us all to get some exercise by putting our suitcases on the floor.. ha,,, I took the ironing board and laid it across the Jet tub and made my suitcase a home. What does it take to get some suitcase stands?? A pedestal sink so there is no place for any bath tolietries. Luckily there is an edge to the tub that can suffice.
The beach view is Fabulous, there is a flat screen tv. Curtains have been hung, (which other viewers previously had mentioned there were none ) Good bed, Luxury sheets. Fireplace nice, Open sliding door when using though or you'll heat yourself out. The chairs are comfortable table chairs. Not loungers.
No kleenex, No paper towels. Get ice from starfish when you check in... course the refridgerator needed defrosting so wasnt going to hold ice anyways. .. i cant imagine paying full price for this.

We stayed at Nantucket Inn in room #3 (Day at the Beach room). We've stayed at all three of the properties now and I would say this one is probably my least favorite. It's nice, but a bit dated compared to the other two properties. We loved the view and the great beach access. The small deck is nice, but it was just a bit too cold this time of year to use it. I imagine in the summer it would be awesome. It's also very quite and restful. Liked the small kitchen area as well even though we hardly used it. What we didn't like so much was the fact that this unit has a separate bedroom that doesn't really have much of a view of the beach. Also the jetted tub is in the bathroom. In the other rooms where we've stayed the tubs actually had a view of the ocean. From a romance perspective this is a big hit. I would also recommend that they upgrade the TV to a flatscreen like the ones in their other properties. The TV in this room was very small. I know this property is older, but with a few improvements it could be very nice. All in all though my wife and I liked it a lot and felt it was a real bargain all things considered.

We stayed 2 nights at this location on the beach. The room (#4) and king sized bed were very comfortable.Parking was convenient being right at the entrance to the room and at the same level .We would stay there again. The room was a little worn with an exposed seam in the carpet by the bed and a visible crack between the wall tile and the Jacuzzi tub. (On Trip Advisor this place was classified as a "Bed and Breakfast" which it is not. It is one of 5 hotel buildings manged out of Starfish Manor).

Rooms in this condo were nice, but deck door wouldn't open, no closet, none, one hand towel, limited windows that open....so little air flow. Over priced considering.

Carpets were filthy! Air circulation was horrible. Overpriced for the value. Would not return or recommend. I don't care if they are on the ocean. There are other choices.

We stayed in the Penthouse Room and absolutely loved it. The view was just gorgeous and the jacuzzi bath tub and fireplace were perfectly relaxing. The bed was very comfortable-- we left feeling so relaxed. The beach is literally just down the stairs. There was a kitchenette in our room, which we didn't use, but would had been nice if we had stayed longer. The Inn was very quiet and peaceful (although we stayed during the week and i believe we were the only guests during our stay).

The location was nice with great views but that was about it. The room was very loud, and I don't meant from the roar of the ocean. Unfortunately the people upstairs were extremely loud and we could hear them talking, being intimate in the bathroom and in the bed, and every time they moved we could hear the ceiling creek and every footstep they took. All of this could be heard over the roar of the ocean.

To make matters worse there was hair in the bathtub and mold and grime in the cracks of the tiles, the windows had some sort of "goo" on the insides on them which was a little gross to be honest, and the carpet was coming up and splitting at the seams in a few areas. There was no ability to regulate heat in the room so it was either on or off and there was no exhaust fan in our bathroom but we could hear the other rooms fan when they turned theirs on.

We were so disappointed that we checked out a night early. It was after the time we could check out (it was around 6pm) because we thought it might of just been a fluke that it was that loud. But upon returning to our room from a day of sight seeing the people upstairs were "at it" again and the noise was just to much to take another night of. So we paid for the second night and checked out anyway and stayed at another hotel in town where we got a peaceful nights sleep. I am not going to say where we stayed but it was less expensive and had better amenities and there was no noise.

So we will never be back to this property and have told our friends that this is not the place to stay if your looking for peace and relaxation overlooking the ocean.
