This is by far my favorite hotel on the planet. Whether it's for overnight or longer, flying solo or with partner, I always feel pampered, special, surrounded by luxury, and presented with a level of service on a consistant basis that never ceases to surprise me. Everything is made so easy for you, and everyone is so friendly, you'll never want to leave. When people talk of trips to warm weather destinations this time of year, which are nice enough, I dream of a couple nights retreated in the Hotel Monaco in Portand. Absolutely love the place.

We and our dog were treated like royalty. This hotel doesn't just tolerate dogs it celebrates them. The rooms and lobby are luxurious and very clean. Complementary cocktail hour with our dog by our side was spent meeting other guests and enjoying the piano music. The staff is exceptionally helpful and makes sure your enjoyment of what Portland has to offer is fulfilled. Many guests did not have dogs but seemed to enjoy their company. We plan to return to Portland just to stay at the Hotel Monaco again!

I love Kimpton hotels! Wine reception hour! A goldfish can be delivered to your room as an added touch! If you are celebrating a birthday or something special, you can have a bottle of wine or champagne waiting in the room for that special someone/occasion. =) The hotel room was large and very clean! Everyone was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this hotel! =)

We got a great price with Expedia, we arrived and there were a group of people waiting behind a crowd control rope, why? The Miami Heat were staying there, well it turns out that basketball players stay there and The Nines ( meaningless to me, great if you and your kids love basketball). The hotel room was great, we had a corner room with two windows, the rooms are big, with high ceilings and were more than comfortable. We didn't receive Kimpton points because of the deal but got free wi-fi. The staff were fantastic, helpful and caring. The free evening wine is nice but way too busy and only one server, the bar has a great happy hour which is much more fun then waiting in line for a free glass, in fact most bars within 5 minutes of the hotel have great happy hours. We would stay there again, the location is within walking distance of The Pearl, good shopping and restaurants and a quick drive or cab ride to most other places. We had a great time.

Room Tip: Corner room or higher floors.
