We enjoyed the unique and creative menu, great service and cool vibe. Loved the experience, although there was quite a bit of cooking smoke in the air, which kind of burned our eyes. It did not diminish our enjoyment significantly, however.

If you like your meats cured, dried, exotic, laced with flavor, and with great presentation, you will love this industrial location on the east side of the river in the warerhouse district. Tasty combinations of various meats, sausages, cheeses (local and imported), together with salads and larger plates. The best option for the novice might be to launch into the space with five or six friends who all like meat, cheese, wine and beer, and then order the full spectrum of the Charcuterie boards, a few salads, and other delectables. A high ceiling and textured decor give this place an intimate but quiet ambiance in spite of its industrial aesthetic. Probably a "not to be missed" option for the first or second-time Portland visitor.

So the building is very old, we sat under stairs, with a reservation and people walked up and down the entire meal. Charcuterie was great especially the Brie. Great Rapini with anchovies and orange salad. Tender and tasty octopus and a entree of a sausage sampler with sauerkraut. Great service and bar and food only next time no stairs.

If you want only meat and nothing else this may be OK, but my "mixed green salad was actually a bunch of white stem reject parts of romaine lettuce with a little vinegar and mustard (seriously not another veggie in sight on the salad)
The chicken entree had a very cold potato gratin and a small amount of pesto and nothing else.
I guess if one goes here they should stick to the $60/per pound meat plates (actually $15 for 4 oz) or the cheese
if you are looking for a balanced meal or if you cook at home and appreciate mixed plates this IS NOT your place

Odd space in an old warehouse... Kinda cold in there. Street parking is ok, but I can see where it would get bad during busy times. A little hard to find, the sign was kinda small.

Started with some Pickled Eggs..... Nicely done and tasty, not to pickley.

Cocktails were OK - Good.

We ordered an Italian Board and Spanish Board. Both were good, but Spanish was better. Both came with a interesting selection of nuts, chutney, salads and basket of french bread. I thought a mixed selection of breads and crackers would have been a little nicer, but they gave us plenty of bread.

All Charcuterie is made in house...!

The Italian board had a variety of Salumi's and a Ham. All were good, but some didn't 'Wow' me. Mortadella has been favorite since I was a kid. I grew up with an Italian family, so I may be a little jaded... :-o Their Mortadella seemed to lack depth of flavor, but was very good for a house made mortadella. The Fennel salad was nice, as was the garlic sausage Tallagio cheese was nice addition.

Leaving the casings on the salumi was a little annoying.... It peeled off easily, but.....

The Spanish board was exceptionally good. Nice variety of styles and bold flavors. Everything on the board was very good!

I'd like to try the French board next time.

Service was mixed... Server was fast and friendly. Greeter seemed annoyed that we walked in the door. Eh! What are ya going to do?

We'll be back...
