There are about 30 food carts here and we have tried about half of them so far. The variety isn't too bad, but you will see a good amount of asian food type of carts. We've tried some of them and they were just okay in my opinion. To me, their menus are pretty similar. But maybe I didn't order the right thing...I don't know. Keep in mind, not all the carts are open everyday. It's always good to look online, I think the website has the times each cart is open and days.

We like to try a different cart each time we go, so we know which ones to hit up and which ones to avoid. The best by far to me is Best Taste of India and Brother Express. In fact just yesterday we ordered a chimichanga from Brother Express that was $7 and it was so big, the two of us ended up splitting it and saving the other food we bought for later. It was very delicious too! We also got a teriyaki chicken plate from Thai Mango that was $9 and I have to say the only thing good about it was the sauce. The chicken itself had a weird taste, like maybe it was freezer burned. It was very chewy.

Baked N' Boned is a new cart that just opened. Their food sounds really good, but we haven't had a chance to try them yet.

Thanks so much for visiting Cartlandia. Yes our website has all the carts listed with their menus and hours (www.cartlandia.com). It can also be uploaded to your mobile phone and function as an app with all of the phone numbers active so you can see the menu and call the cart directly. Many also offer delivery. For more variety in Asian food try some of our "fusion" carts - try Kesone which is Cambodia-Laotian , or Ooh Pasta which is Asian italian. for other types of fusion there is also Poco India - Hispanic-Indian. And yes Baked'N'Boned is a new cart with incredible homecooking - prime rib sandwiches and comfort food. come back and give them a try. We have also just added Puddletown Bagels now open at 7 am with housemade bagels and coffee, and Pancake Underground. and The Wild North in coming in March.

At first I just thought that there was only one set of food carts downtown, then I found Cartopia and then Cartlandia too! They're are too many places here to tell you about, but I can tell you there is something for everyone at this place, so enjoy gourmet food at fast food prices.

If you are hungry, you can find your type of food here at one of their food trucks. I tried the In-And-Out Vietnamese Bahn Mi Sandwhich #1 (Special) and it was very good, and for $5, although I should have got the smaller one so I could have eaten at other trucks. I also got a to-go order from "Poco India" which is a Mexican/Indian fusion truck where you pick your dish, then what meat (chicken, lamb, beef, tofu, etc) , curry sauce (tikka masala, vindaloo), cheese (mexican blend or queso fresco), and toppings you want (citrus cole slaw, onion, cilantro). So, I had a curry chicken burrito. But they also had curried tacos or ribs, and for desert cherry coconut empanadas, plus a variety of other choices combining the mexican and indian cuisines in to unique dishes custom made to your taste, ready in about 7 minutes.

Other trucks had mexican, indian, doughnuts, bubble tea, korean, thai and countless others. One truck is also offering Sushi burritos, a new fad if you haven't had one before.

There is outdoor seating, the beer garden has a tent over it and the sign said kids are allowed. The nearby bar did not allow kids. There is limited parking, and the spaces are small, but nearby streets could likely handle the overflow. There are bathrooms available too.

Thanks so much Scott. The nearby bar, The Blue Room Bar, does allow children in the front of the bar until 8 pm (this is OLCC ruling) and you can take cart food into the Bar (just no outside beverages). Hope to see you again soon. We are adding new carts and expanding our hours..two carts open now for breakfast and a thrid one coming... Puddletown Bagels and Pancake Underground open at 8 am..Bee's Cakes coming in April.

My husband, son and I came here to pick up dinner the day before the eclipse. We have tried several other food cart pods in Portland but none of them have excited us as much as this one! 32 food carts including a Voodoo Donuts food cart!
We picked up food from 3 food carts (Ooh, Pasta!, Teppanyaki Hut and Anything Else?) and bubble tea from Bobablastic. There are so many different types of food available here that no matter what you feel like eating, you are sure to find it in this food cart pod. And everything is reasonably priced.
Parking was a little tight which I am guessing would be a problem on the weekends. There is some outdoor seating but most people just stand around to eat or take away. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

We had a big group (10+) with a wide range of preferences and were directed here for a family outing. It worked out great! A choice for everyone and plenty of tables (many in the shade) made a great family occasion.

The *only* disappointment is we were looking forward to Voodoo Doughnuts for dessert, and they were closed that day.
